The IEC Dakotas chapter of the Independent Electrical Contractors Association is an association for electrical contractors, run by electrical contractors. The chapter provides a strong collective voice for the merit shop electrical industry at both local and national levels, advocating on crucial legislative and regulatory issues. IEC Dakotas Education is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation with four training facilities located in Sioux Falls, Fargo, Grand Forks, and Rapid City. They offer a US Department of Labor (DOL) approved electrical apprenticeship program that trains more than 19,000 apprentices nationally, including more than 500 in the Dakotas. The program, taught by 25 qualified instructors, has a nationally standardized and recognized curriculum.
